JEANINE R. STEFFY, JD, CPA is an attorney at Steffy Law Firm, P.C., practicing in the areas of estate planning, and administration. As part of the estate planning process, Ms. Steffy focuses on individual client concerns ranging from business planning to charitable intent, from tax planning to simplification.
Ms. Steffy received her Masters and Juris Doctorate at the University of New Mexico. She is a Certified Public Accountant and a former Adjunct Professor at UNM Anderson School of Management where she taught managerial, financial and tax accounting at the undergraduate and graduate levels for nearly a decade.
Ms. Steffy is a Fellow of the American College of Trust and Estate Counsel and has written and presented to professional and general audiences on topics including estate planning, business succession, charitable giving, taxation of estates, trust administration and probate. Ms. Steffy serves on the Board of Equal Access to Justice, and is a member of the Taxation Section of the New Mexico State Bar (Past Chair), the Taxation Section of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the New Mexico Estate Planning Council (Past Treasurer, Past Chair). She has also served as Chair of the Santa Fe Estate Planning Council and Sponsorship Chair of the American Academy of Attorney-CPAs.
